NMNK SISTER CAN'T FIGURE THE ARNOLDS OF THIS WORLD

Sister here:  I'm listening to all the breaking news about ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER (official site linked above - I note that he is NOT wearing a WEDDING RING) and asking myself WHY when he was PLAYING he didn't use contraception!  If a man who has fathered four children (and knows he's fertile) and a woman who has mothered three children (and knows she's fertile) engage in an affair, an affair which could ruin a marriage (or two), careers, etc, etc, etc, WHY WOULD THEY NOT VERY CAREFULLY and ON PURPOSE choose to PREVENT a conception? 

This is a true mystery to me!

Yes I know contraception isn't perfect.  But it's nearer perfect when  you combine methods.  Such as using condoms along with any other method.

I feel for the child who is now going to be hunted by the media!

You can link to a good 2006 article here about women who tied their tubes before they ever had any children, knowing they were not the mommy type.  I wonder how many men do so!  More ought to! There are just too many men who are irresponsible about their sexuality and their fertility and as a result their parental duty.

MAY IS HAPPY TO BE INFERTILE MONTH

Are you HAPPY that you are infertile? 

Is this your natural state or did you do it on purpose? 

Happily Infertile defies all the emphasis on Motherhood at (almost) any cost.  These days there is so much focus on celebrities and their adoptions and baby bumps.  There are endless sites on the web determined to ease your pain of being infertile ("Can your marriage survive infertility."  "Is this God's will? - a Cross to Bear?")

THIS IS TO LET THOSE OF YOU DESPERATE TO HAVE A BABY that there are people on this planet who are INFERTILE and HAPPY ABOUT IT.  (Some of them think this is God's will too!)

ASEXUAL CELEBRITIES ? OPRAH? MICHEAL JACKSON? LADY GAGA?

Celebrities have no private lives really, unless they make a real effort to hide out, which some do by owning huge homes and staying in them.  Reading over various posts on the net today, I learned that Brooke Shields said that Michael Jackson was naturally asexual.  Other posts debate about Oprah Winfrey as an explanation for her NMNK status.  Lady Gaga just put out a hit song called "Born This Way" with a video that is highly sexual, but they say she is celibate not asexual.


But guess what?  YOU CAN STILL GET MARRIED and YOU CAN STILL HAVE CHILDREN or ADOPT OR RAISE CHILDREN and be asexual.


I would love to know how many asexual people do just that!

UPDATE October 2022 I've decided that Lady Gaga isn't asexual...  but as I look back at this 10 year old post, I realize that very few celebrities admit to not having sexual feelings.

Checking out to see how NEVER MARRIED NO KIDS is slowly rising in the ranks on Google, I noticed the ASEXUAL page coming up...  as a Sexual orientation except that you may have little to no desire for sex, which means that you always relate to men or women as friends.  Therefore you are not exactly abstaining from sex like a celibate might.   Various studies mine ASEXUALITY as being abnormal and say that maybe one person in a hundred is this way.


I would love to hear from anyone who defines themselves this way!
