ADSENSE BLOOPER - THE JOKES ON ME ?
This blog was originally opened with an open-heartedness to signing up for Adsense and seeing what happens. Well, I noted yesterday that in the CATEGORIES BELOW there were three that seemed inappropriate - kids/children's products and services?! This is the hilarity of a computer reading material that apparently NO HUMAN BEING HAS EVER LOOKED AT. ah.... Google Adsense, this blog is called NEVER MARRIED NO CHILDREN and is pro the unmarried unencumbered-with-children lifestyle...
I'm not saying every reader here cringes when they see those parents at the mall with their kids on leashes... but some do!
This is not the favorite blog of people like Michelle Pfeiffer who thinks there is something wrong with people who don't have children. Or Sylvia Plath who had them and then stuck her head in an oven and commit suicide! So you gotta do something like start featuring ads for CONTRACEPTION !
THE LAST THING FANS OF THIS BLOG WANT IS ADS FOR CHILDREN'S PRODUCTS AND SERVICES. WE DO NOT HAVE CHILDREN HERE!

INTENTIONAL FAMILY - FAMILY OF FRIENDS

The word friend is generic. It can mean anything including that someone is an enemy - frenemy. Some friends however surpass your genetic family or any family by legal marriage. For a person who wishes to remain single, these friends may be better "family" than the one's you got stuck with. Being unmarried and childless now and forever does not mean you are anti-social, a loner, or that you hate all children. It doesn't mean that you can't be part of a family. But if your "real" family rejects you due to your lifestyle, the best thing to do is build a family of friends. These are people who will be there for you when you are broke, sick, or you die. So they are certainly not people who are unstable in your life. Think about it.
WHICH OF YOUR FRIENDS CAN YOU COUNT ON TO BE LIKE A BROTHER OR SISTER?

ABUSE BY PSYCHOLOGIST BECAUSE YOU ARE NEVER MARRIED?
Has anyone been abused - harshly officially diagnosed - over their disinterest or unwillingness to marry and/or have children? It has happened and the Scientologists are not the only ones who believe that psychology has gotten into an overly powerful place in which EVERYONE IS DIAGNOSABLE. Is psychology dictating our VALUES as a society or as individuals? Are they redefining what is normal? Hmmm...

IS YOUR FRIEND'S CHILD HER EXCUSE FOR BEING LATE or A NO SHOW?
My Yoga Teacher did it AGAIN this morning. I got up with the alarm (instead of sleeping in), and I spent the gas money and drove 20 minutes to be on time for class. Then we were left waiting for 15 minutes (not the first time) and then another teacher came in to tell us that ours had an "emergency" with her three year old and would not be able to make it. Some sub came in and did a class he made up as he went along - stretch exercises focused on ab development - like who gives a crap? I was laying there on the mat furious.
DO YOU HAVE A FRIEND or COWORKER or BOSS WHO USES HER CHILD AS AN EXCUSE for why SHE IS UNPROFESSIONAL? Are you always being asked to UNDERSTAND and FORGIVE because (Damn it!) her kid is just sooooooo cute ? Are you supposed to assume that her parenting responsibilities should be her priority over professional commitments? Are you asked to baby sit at no charge because you got elected to be "AN AUNT?" (Or is this now part of your ever expanding job description for which you will not be paid more because child care - when you like a kid - really ISN'T WORK? Is the kid always especially rude and obnoxious when she has company - you - which is distracting? (In other words she (and her partner) ARE NOT GOOD PARENTS BECAUSE THEY ARE RAISING DEMANDING BRATS!?) ADMIT IT! The kids are the biggest excuse ever!
