IS YOUR FRIEND'S CHILD HER EXCUSE FOR BEING LATE or A NO SHOW?
My Yoga Teacher did it AGAIN this morning. I got up with the alarm (instead of sleeping in), and I spent the gas money and drove 20 minutes to be on time for class. Then we were left waiting for 15 minutes (not the first time) and then another teacher came in to tell us that ours had an "emergency" with her three year old and would not be able to make it. Some sub came in and did a class he made up as he went along - stretch exercises focused on ab development - like who gives a crap? I was laying there on the mat furious.
DO YOU HAVE A FRIEND or COWORKER or BOSS WHO USES HER CHILD AS AN EXCUSE for why SHE IS UNPROFESSIONAL? Are you always being asked to UNDERSTAND and FORGIVE because (Damn it!) her kid is just sooooooo cute ? Are you supposed to assume that her parenting responsibilities should be her priority over professional commitments? Are you asked to baby sit at no charge because you got elected to be "AN AUNT?" (Or is this now part of your ever expanding job description for which you will not be paid more because child care - when you like a kid - really ISN'T WORK? Is the kid always especially rude and obnoxious when she has company - you - which is distracting? (In other words she (and her partner) ARE NOT GOOD PARENTS BECAUSE THEY ARE RAISING DEMANDING BRATS!?) ADMIT IT! The kids are the biggest excuse ever!

WHO QUALIFIES TO BE A PARENT ?
How many children are brought into this world through the love of their parents, parents who are ready, willing, and able to give a child everything it needs to prosper as a human being?
Sad to say, the majority of children brought into this world are NOT PLANNED, and NOT WANTED! AND THE MAJORITY OF PARENTS DO NOT HAVE IT TO BE PARENTS!
Think I'm wrong?
Think of all the children who live their lives in various forms of poverty! In Los Angeles many only have their state funded free lunch for their food and go to be hungry.
Think of all the children who are abused...
In extreme cases taken from their parents and go on to live in a series of abusive foster homes.
If the only children born into this world were wanted and raised in love, there would be no OVERPOPULATION PROBLEM!
Sad to say, the majority of children brought into this world are NOT PLANNED, and NOT WANTED! AND THE MAJORITY OF PARENTS DO NOT HAVE IT TO BE PARENTS!

GAY MARRIAGE - THEY RUSH TO SIGN UP !
GAY MARRIAGE ? In California the recent vote that allows gay marriage has gay couples ready to rush the gates of the justice of the peace to sign up. Click on the title above to go right to the YAHOO NEWS ARTICLE.
Now that some Gay people will have the legal right to marry, let's look at what's really behind this.
Insurance. Large companies such as Disney have already been giving unmarried domestic partners medical insurance. Gay people rush to work for a Disney because they can live together - or pretend to - and give someone else very valuable, generally costly out of the pocket, medical insurance. Now that gay marriage is LEGAL, domestic partner rights will diminish. Legal marriage and sharing of all finances in this community property state will become the prerequisite for medical and other benefits that have always been based on LEGAL MARRIAGE....

"PEOPLE WHO HAVE CHILDREN STAY YOUNG...
...And all my friends who never had children are looking much older," a middle aged woman said to me last night. She was encouraging me to take on the mentorship and motherly discipline of two wayward teenage girls who are in my apartment building and who I have been concerned about. I didn't say it, because she is a mother, but IT'S JUST THE OPPOSITE IN MY EXPERIENCE. The ones with the children, especially the single mothers, look ten years older than the ones who are deliberately happily childless, like me. I'm frequently guessed to be five to ten years younger than I am, and that's without makeup, fashion, or hairstyles to help the cause...
