A HOLIDAY MESSAGE FROM SISTER

This blog emerged as a great idea over a holiday. Christmas is FAMILY TIME - right? I don't know about you but if you're forever unmarried and childess, even by choice, the holidays with the emphasis on family and children can make you feel too totally alone, even if you really aren't. Probably no other time of the year is more challenging to NMNK's.

I wonder about YOU, the reader of this blog.

Which description would best fit you?

* I never desired children and don't plan to have any and am not sorry I never did?

* I put off having children or adopting or cannot bear children due to infertility or transgendering?

* I'm too young or too old to have children biologicially whether I want children or not?

When it comes to marriage...

* I don't believe in life-long commitments?

* I'd like a partner in life for a life-long commitment but it hasn't happened for me and may never.

* I plan to marry but not have children?

* I'm divorced and plan never to remarry or have children?

* I will not marry because of religions vows for celebacy and singlehood?

There must be many other mind-sets out there when it comes to this issue and reason for this blog, in which I hope to be supportive of others. If you are wondering about me, my answers would be that I am never married and never had any desire to have children. I don't believe I missed out not having children, now that I can no longer. I haven't spent more than 10 minutes of my life wondering if maybe it would be a good idea for me. I've never had a life partner either and I always knew that a traditional marriage of being a stay at home wife and mother would not satisfy me. I leave it open as to love and a commitment till death.

WE KNOW SANTA's MARRIED ? BUT WHAT ABOUT THE ELVES !

Ever since cartoons introduced Mrs. Santa Claus we must conclude the merry prankster is married. I take it from a good source that Hobbits and Gnomes also marry. However, does anyone know if ELVES marry?
