I say "Don't defend yourself when people make snide remarks to you or around you about your single, childless status...." is that easier said than done?

hey there, im an introvert single and have experience being called names, i dont respond to these name calling as im non-confrontational. its hard and i think its affecting me already. i live in a place where if you're a 40 yr old man single and have almost no friends people will label you as gay. im not. normally, people get physical when called names, i dont. but i wish i could. i'll say, prayers helps a lot.
